F-Alice in Wonderland

Hot off the Press from FashionHotMess in Brussels ..
The style in Brussels already suggests that the conventional isn't the norm for the fashionistas in the capital of Europe. This spills into untraditional creative fashion shoots.
Previous blogger post explored how to make Alice in Wonderland themes stand out from the countless others.
In Brussels; using only men in their shoot turns the enchanting fairy tale upside down and wrong way round and hurtles us into an alternative original magical world. This style immediately makes the shoot stand out.
This shoot was for Belgian magazine LABELS

Alice is Everywhere .. It's all in the presentation!

Window Display @ Printemps, Paris

Alice in Wonderland is the major fashionable fairytale du jour. From catwalks to window displays to jewellery, from professional to amateur designers there is no escaping the magical fantasy.

Versace Spring Summer 2010 RTW

At a charity craft fair I came across yet another familiar Alice themed jewellery collection.

The designer not only focused her creativity on her individual pieces each magically tying in perfectly with the enchanting fairytale, but the presentation of her pieces did the same. With the use of playing cards on which to display the jewellery, the pieces remained in Wonderland. It caught the eye and expressed the dedication to her work.

With Alice in Wonderland being in style this summer it is all about how you present and style the theme.

Look to not only the professionals but also the amateurs to magically inspire.

Alice In Wonderland
has influenced the fashion world in many instances

Printemps the Parisien Department store is creating a window display based on the tale and has recruited a selection of fashion names to create dresses inspired by Alice. These include Christopher Kane, Alexander McQueen, Maison Martin Margiela and will be displayed during Paris Fashion Week.
